6. Benefits of Babywearing for health care professionals.   This offering is a 2-hour formal class that has been approved for 2 CEU's and is specifically geared to those in the health care fields.   Information is appropriate for:  RN's/LPN's, midwives, doulas, LC's, nursing students, medical students, physician staff (OB's, pediatricians, NICU staff), chiropractors.  Information can also be tailored for other non-medical staff that is involved in the care of either infants and young children or childbearing families.  Please contact us at info[at]babysosmart.com for more information and pricing.

7. Sling and Mei Tai design services. We are pleased to be able to offer on-line and in-person design services to help you make your baby carrier exactly what you want and unique to you. This service is also available to those who are looking for help in designing a sling or carrier that they intend to make for themselves as well; sorry, we are not able to assist you in design service if you intend to have your sling/carrier produced by another manufacturer using the design we have helped you to create. $35/hr., minimum $35.

8.  Adaptive carriers--we are happy to be able to offer this wonderful service to families with parents or children with special needs.  By combining my background and experience as a nurse (15+ years, multiple fields), lactation consultant, and baby carrier manufacturer, I have been happy to have been able to work with many families over the years who have required an adaptation to a standard baby carrier in order to be able to carry their baby/child.  Adaptive carriers are priced out on an individual basis, and typically require several emails/phone calls for me to be able to collect information and learn about your special need in order for me to be able to determine what adaptations to your carrier might be needed.  Adaptive carriers require 4-8 weeks for production and turnaround, and may take longer than this.  Often your insurance will reimburse you for at least part of the cost of your adaptive carrier, as it is considered adaptive equipment for you or your child;  if you require an itemized receipt for insurance reimbursement, please let us know and we are happy to provide that for you.  We have been able to work with families who had the following special needs:  rheumatoid arthritis, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, cardiac defects, traumatic brain injuries and their sequela, achondroplasia dwarfism, as well as hip and spine issues.

We are able to accept the following forms of payment for the above services: personal check (subject to all applicable bank fees, plus an additional $35 should it be returned unpaid), cash, credit card, debit card.
